Today we received the I-797 C, I guess at this point that it is the same as the I-800. We are still waiting to hear from AWAA about the details. This document has been sent to the state department and they will cable it to the consulate in Guangzhou, China. The consulate in Guangzhou will provide the article 5 that we need for the TA from CCAA. This is a lot of adoption talk and terms, for those that have adopted before will understand.

I am so excited about my Chinese Lessons I am having. I have a wonderful teacher that teaches me Mandarin Chinese. It is a very beautiful language. I must say I have it a little easier than Tim, since each letter makes the same sound as it is in Germany. I have not learned how to write Chinese. Each word has its own picture. I read my first children’s book in Chinese.
Yesterday I mailed off Maria’s first Care Package, if all goes well she should receive in about a week. The package was filled with clothes, candies, hair bands, crayons, photo albums, a letter from her best friend, stickers, and a disposable camera. I hope they use the camera while they open the box with her. I would love to see her face.
How exciting it was today. Our Referral Acceptance Letter came from China via AWAA. We had to sign it, fill out the rest of the papers and send it back to AWAA. They will mail it off to China on Friday. After the CCAA in China receives the documents they will work on our Travel Arrangements (TA) which might be the beginning of October. Please keep praying for us that the documents will all arrive on time and not get lost.
