I haven’t written a blog entry in a while, but don’t forget that I do ‘micro-blog’ on twitter. You can follow those updates either here on our website or in Facebook. What is a microblog? It is short, but more frequent updates on what’s going on. I sometimes share what’s on my mind, or a link to an article I found interesting, etc. However, like an SMS text message, I’m limited to about 160 characters per posting, so the entries are definately not as long winded as here.
Anyways, Heike and Rebecca left for Breman, Germany, on November 29th, but they’ll be returning this Thursday, December 13th. She was able to visit her Mom and Dad, visit her Grandparents, and alot of her Bremen family. Her Father is still fighting cancer, her Grandfather on her Mom’s side (Opa Musiol) passed away several weeks ago. And her Mom’s fiancee, left for Canada to prepare the way, for Heike’s Mom to join. Instead, he broke up with her several weeks later. Can you say, ‘what a creep’? But I guess it’s better this happened before she uprooted herself completely from Germany and moved to Canada.
So although it was a nice trip for her to see everyone, it was not in the best of times. The weather in Bremen was seasonally wet and cold as well. So Heike and Rebecca are looking forward to coming back home.
The boys and I have kept ourselves busy, and tried to keep the house in some sort of order. We’ll seriously get to some real cleaning before her plane arrives.
The boys have been living off mostly pizza, but today I made them chili which they really liked. I also made them waffles several times for breakfast, and several other decent meals. However, I’m certain they’ll be happy to have a more decent cook at home.
… And I find myself longing to hold my beautiful wife and daughter in my arms as well. So come home soon my dear wife. We love you and miss you!
Tim
